• The italian community is very strong in Canada and supports massively the production of italian music. Obviously there’s a growing passion about this culture that seems to pleasure everyone’s imagination proposing an image of romantism and exotism that Canadians seem to long.

• Carlo Muratori is a respected artist in Italy with 11 albums and many interesting collaborations. He is specialized in the wonderful Sicilian folk that he presents with great talent and a soft vibe. The album Sicily is a work of folk exploration and reinvention. The CD includes 21 songs from the best of the popular Sicilian song traditional repertoire, accompanied by a small, elegant ensemble of guitars, mandolins, bass, percussions, marranzano (jewish harp), cavachino, quatro, bouzouki and voices that will seduce any music lover.

• The record label Productions Casa Nostra works with artists of great talent and is expanding his activities. Casa Nostra recently produced the show of the legendary Vinicio Capossela, with guest Marc Ribot, here in Montreal.
