Over the past few decades, Bob Walsh has become one of the most important icons in the history of Quebec blues due to his great talent, perseverance and consistency. Recently, the bluesman with the rich, husky voice brilliantly and successfully tackled the highest international jazz standards. The resulting album was quickly snatched up by the public and his concert venues filled to capacity.

Riding the wave of success, Bob Walsh then drew from a vast blues repertoire to offer us renderings of a selection of his favourite songs. The incredible response to the album firmly cemented his status as a Quebec blues icon.

As the holidays approach, Bob Walsh will offer us a collection of his most beautiful Christmas songs with the help of his talented pianist-arranger Jean-Fernand Girard. This brilliant album will include bluesy and jazzy versions of Amazing Grace, Blue Christmas.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and many other classics that are sure to please the public. Bob Walsh pulled out all the stops by inviting Les Violons du Roy to join him in studio in an effort to truly infuse the album with the spirit of Christmas. In addition, he enlisted the services of the J Project Choir, a highly talented choir composed of 14 voices, both male and female. These special guests were backed up by solid rhythm and brass sections, young guitar prodigy Jimmy Bowskill’s incredible talent, Monique Fauteux’s angelic voice and the breathtaking harmonica performance of Guy Bélanger, an old friend and stage buddy of Bob Walsh’s.
